I'm caravanning with Lou and Dave as we slowly make our way back to Minnesota. When looking over the possible routes back to Minnesota, Dave checking out the maps says “Oh look, Idaho could be on the way”. So off to Idaho we go.
We head for Twin Falls Idaho located in the Magic Valley on the south rim of the Snake River Canyon. The Magic Valley is in reference to a couple of dams and a series of irrigation canals which “magically” transformed what had been considered a nearly uninhabitable area into some of the most productive farmland in the NW. I am here mostly because of …...Waterfalls!! The Twin Falls from which the town got its name is supposedly not all that impressive. The Best In Show award definitely goes to the Shoshone Falls. This is one fabulous waterfall. The Shoshone Falls are called the “Niagara of the West”. They are 212 ft high, 45 feet taller than Niagara Falls themselves. It flows over a rim that is nearly 1,000 feet wide.
The building to the left of the falls is a three story building |

The Perrine Bridge is about 486 feet above the Snake River which makes it the eighth highest bridge in the US. It is a common base jumper destination.
The Perrine Coulee Falls - 200 ft of freefall |
Last but not least - Lou and Me |
