Rock Paper Scissors

July brought an outing with friends to a rather unique establishment west of Minneapolis – Big Stone Mini Golf. Yes, I said Mini Golf. It has been years since I played mini golf and I probably thought of it merely as a mild diversion but I would say that this is probably the best mini golf course that I have ever played on. The holes were crazy, artistic and inventive.  To top it all off, there was quite an extensive outdoor sculpture garden to roam through after we played golf.

The first hole

This was an old iron boat that they had tipped upside down and cut colorful portholes in the sides

On the last hole, you always lose your ball.  Here at Big Stone, the ball would end up in this lazy river where you would watch it slowly move toward oblivion.  That is my yellow ball.

After a rousing game of golf, where my golf pro friend Carol got way too many holes in one, we wandered thru the sculpture gardens.  There were many different mediums.

Wood

Metal
Side Note: there were also goats that you could feed

Car Tires

Some sort of whirl-i-gig sculptures?

As you wandered around, you would come across sculptures that made you laugh out loud.
